Personal Introduction: I am Duccio Bombardini, a painter and contemporary artist born in Rome in 1996. My artistic practice unfolds through a personal language with a strong stylistic impact, born of a rebellious spirit that draws on the legacy of the Fauves. My painting oscillates between Impressionist immediacy and Expressionist intensity, reinterpreted in a contemporary key. I primarily use oil paint applied with a palette knife, a tool that allows me to build dense, vibrant, and kaleidoscopic surfaces. The textured application, rich in depth, gives the works a marked three-dimensionality, capable of highlighting the main elements through incisive details and immersing the viewer within the painting. Color, shaped by the imprints of the palette knife, becomes for me a structural and narrative element, generating dynamic textures and visual depth. The subjects of my works span a variety of themes, with a particular focus on wide-open spaces and landscapes viewed from above—the so-called bird’s-eye view. These scenes are transformed into vibrant fields of color, where melancholy and vitality, stillness and agitation coexist. I strive to create a true chromatic ballet, in which the elements seem to move within the pictorial space, inviting the viewer to linger and let themselves be carried away. Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous group exhibitions and held several solo shows, curated by the critic and curator Francesco Maria Bonifazi, who has consistently followed my artistic journey. In 2024, I founded the group DADA EVENTS, an organization dedicated to the planning and production of art exhibitions and events in Italy and Europe—a project that combines art, music, and entertainment within galleries, exhibition spaces, and private venues. In 2026, I began collaborating with the Marco Orler International Gallery, with which I have participated in several art fairs in Italy and across Europe. Previously, I collaborated internationally with Gallery SOHO, exhibiting in Stockholm and Paris. Also in 2025, I began working with the Borgo Pio Art Gallery, near St. Peter’s Square, where some of my works are currently on display. Furthermore, in September 2025, I began managing an art gallery on Via Margutta in Rome, where I organize group and solo exhibitions, actively contributing to the promotion and appreciation of contemporary art. I am also a finalist in the Italian art competition MART LIVE, whose finals will be held in 2026. Through intense, textural painting, I continue to explore the balance between energy and contemplation, offering a personal and immersive vision of the contemporary landscape.
